Job Description
DUTIES:
Incident ownership from receipt to resolution and closure.
Adherence to escalation procedures and customer service level agreements.
Assist in identification and implement short and midterm strategic plans to improve helpdesk operations.
Build working relationships with other departments of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Escalate incidents to Informatics Research and Development or the Helpdesk Team Leader when required.
Proactively learn new technologies as well as supported products.
Involvement in PPI projects.
Visit customers for on-site relationship building or troubleshooting.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 years of LIMS administrator, technical coordinator, software implementation analyst, project manager or related experience. Employer also accepts a Master s degree plus 2 years of above-stated experience as an equivalent alternative.

Must have experience or knowledge of:
SampleManager 10/11 forms;
C#/.Net development;
Production quality control;
Research and development;
Project management;
Windows Server Administration;
Software Integration Services; and
Training presentation.

TRAVEL:
Roving/Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Will travel to various unknown client sites throughout North and South America for up to 30% of the time. Can work remotely or telecommute.
