The Social Worker - MSW is responsible to promote the individuals' recovery, promote consumer involvement, provide counseling through individual and group work, ensure compliance with Governmental and Agency Regulations and operating standards, complete all records and reports, act as a liaison with other Divisions/Agencies, provide support and consultation, collaborate with consumers and significant others, serve as a member of a multi disciplinary team, and provide crisis intervention.
Activities include but are not limited to the following:
* Conduct screening/clinical assessments, diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations for adults, children, and families. * Promote the consumers' recovery by coordinating, developing, and implementing, in partnership with the individual, the Treatment Process, development of a Crisis Plan, and to support follow up with goals and objectives established. * Promote the involvement of family or significant others in the recovery process. * Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. * Provide linkage, referral, and case management as clinically indicated. * Documentation as per the Department of Health, Department of Mental Hygiene, or Insurance guidelines and ensure compliance with all regulations. * Serve as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Team.
* Masters Degree in social work (M.S.W.) with at least 12 semester hours of clinical coursework. * Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel). * Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
