Manages the Wholesale Portfolio Risk Management (WPRM) Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team and promotes the safety and quality of the bank's commercial real estate credit portfolio to minimize losses, enhance risk/return profile and all related risk management activities of the aggregate CRE exposure within the company. WPRM provides management of correlation risk with an assessment of external and internal credit risks and an outlook of industry risk to assess the potential impact to the bank. Responsibilities include portfolio risk analytics, sector risk/return profile, key internal and external risk drivers, credit policy, loss profile, and peer comparison/profile within the CRE industry. Collaborate with Credit Risk Management, business lines and other corporate oversight groups to establish policies, standards, and limits that align with U.S. Bancorp's risk appetite, and monitors and reports on existing and emerging risks and compliance with U.S. Bank's risk appetite.. Basic Qualifications. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. 15 or more years of experience in an applicable risk management environment. Applicable certifications. Preferred Skills/Experience. Fifteen or more years of credit risk management experience, commercial real estate industry experience along with ten or more years of managerial/supervisory experience. Expert knowledge of credit risk management associated with commercial real estate credit products, markets, and structure. Considerable knowledge of lending, credit policy, credit analysis (including, but not limited to financial statement and cash flow analysis). Presentation skills, ability to interact effectively with senior management. Strong project management and strategic planning skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Direct responsibility for leading a team of Wholesale Credit Risk Managers.
