Job Description Are you a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, with particular expertise in indirect procurement, contract management, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance management? Verisk's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement group is seeking a self-starting Sourcing/Procurement Analyst, like you, to work closely with the Head of Enterprise Strategic Sourcing & Procurement in setting Enterprise strategy for the end to end Sourcing activities related to a wide range of IT and Non-IT goods and services, including, but not limited to; Hardware, Software, Professional Services, Telco, Hosting, and Network Infrastructure. You'll conduct vendor research and provide information and guidance to internal/external business partners regarding Supplier selections; manage major vendor relationships and strengthen and expand existing client relationships. You'll also be responsible for being a SPOC for developing and maintaining effective Supplier relationships with strategic Suppliers. The role will act as the principal liaison between the Supplier and internal business groups including the Verisk leadership team. You'll lead the development, issuance and evaluation of competitive market assessments (RFX's), perform contract negotiations with selected Suppliers and review, draft, and negotiate Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and other contract documents. You will effectively partner with the Law Department to ensure successful negotiations, resulting in effective agreements which have properly mitigated risk, established KPI's and associated SLA's. Lastly, you'll focus negotiations on the complete fulfillment of internal Stakeholder requirements through cost reductions, cost avoidance, and process improvements. In this role you'll also be responsible for: oContinuous quality and service improvements from Suppliers to support efficient business operations. oSharing SME knowledge across internal/external Stakeholders in other business units and advocate cross business unit activities. Qualifications o Minimum 8 -10 years broad-based experience across multiple indirect commodity groups, with particular focus in IT spend Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance management o Deep expertise in the IT category spend, including, but not limited to Software, Hardware, Professional Services, Cloud Solutions, etc. o Understanding of current/trending market conditions, and how to best leverage them in a diverse enterprise organization o Demonstrated ability to drive savings (Hard and Soft) using various category strategies o Successful experience in driving change in complex environments o Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of executive management o High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel o Effective collaboration with various BU's in development and execution of Statements of Work o Strong working understanding of and experience in contract law, and negotiations in both Legal and Business terms in Legal Agreements o Strong working understanding on applicable desktop applications, including strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and Asset Management modules, CLM applications. oExperience managing Preferred Vendor Management programs. oStrong financial analysis skills with the ability analyze and explain pricing models; strong understanding of legal concepts as related to contract negotiations. oExcellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal Team building skills. oExcellent relationship management skills, as well as ability to work with all levels of management and staff. oAbility to handle multiple projects and complete deals within defined deadlines and short lead times, while partnering with other Team members to meet Demand Management. oSelf-motivated and must possess the knowledge, experience and discipline to work successfully both independently and as a Team.
