There is an immediate opening for a Marketplace Manager on our Kipling eCommerce team. This position is responsible for driving the strategy and growth plans within existing and new marketplace channels. This position will be responsible for channel sales goals and metrics, development of marketplace initiatives through agency and eCommerce team partnerships, and identification of new opportunities. The Marketplace Manager will report to the Ecommerce Director and will have the support of a Marketplace Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Amazon marketplace, sales analytics and advertising.
What you ll be working on
~20% Existing Marketplace businesses
~15% New Marketplace opportunities
Responsible for developing, managing and reporting marketplace plans and performance to senior management
Identifying channel and assortment optimization opportunities in collaboration with internal partners and external agencies. These would include but not be limited to eCom buying and planning teams, merchandising and marketing, as well as marketing agencies and the 3rd party marketplace management agency
Partner with marketplace management agency to ensure accuracy of product, pricing and content
Partner with marketing agencies to manage and drive paid marketing opportunities including AMS, sponsored listings, and more
Researching, developing and launching new marketplace channels including international
Drive launch of Seller Fulfilled Prime initiative on Amazon
Partner with data analyst, buying and planning teams to create sales analysis and reporting on par with existing eCom business
Interact directly and collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate assortment by marketplace channel. Partner with wholesale and buying teams to ensure exclusivity by channel
Monitor competition and provide insights and actions to grow marketshare
Review customer feedback and marketplace health reporting, ensuring all issues are identified and addressed
5+ Years working in a digital or e-commerce environment
Bachelors or Business Management degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Amazon Seller Central required
Passion for retail e-commerce analytics and intellectual curiosity
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Strong time management and executional skills
Strong ability to multi-task, extremely organized with attention to detail
High level of initiative (self-motivation) to take on projects independently in a lean team
Retail e-commerce experience preferred
