Family Practice office with locations in Plano and McKinney is seeking experienced, outgoing, and reliable Certified Medical Assistants for a variety of positions.


Essential Skills:
• Manages incoming and outgoing phone calls.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Works efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment.
• Manages patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules.
• Reviews presenting issue, visit notes, history, orders, and updates appropriately within the EMR.
• Assists physician with exams, conducts pre and post-vial tests and/or procedures as required.
• Fluent in Medical Terminology & Medication Refill protocols
• Appropriately escalates issues outside of existing protocols to meet the needs of the patient.
• Follows all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegates.
• Schedules appointments and queries clinical information from the EMR (e-Clinical Works).
• Meets performance and service level criteria as defined in “Performance Metrics.”
• Works well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment.


Qualifications:
• 2-3 years related experience, preferably in a Primary Health Care setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant - must be current.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experienced in properly handling confidential and sensitive information; knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record systems
