PVSI Control The PVSI Control team is specifically responsible for the management of non-financial risk within PVSI, including operational risk, compliance risk, model risk, reputation risk and strategic risk. The Role This senior leader will be responsible for building and leading the MRA Task Force within the PVSI business. This candidate will lead a team responsible for overseeing, managing, influencing, monitoring and escalating the risk associated with MRAs solely owned within the PVSI business, as well as, individual corrective actions owned by PVSI that may be a part of an MRA assigned to a different business owner. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting is maintained and available for all PVSI MRAs and corrective actions at all times; they will also be responsible for standard status packages as well as impromptu updates and reporting. This role will provide business executive and members of PVSI management a constant, updated view of the regulatory risk of the PVSI business specifically tied to MRAs. This role will also be expected to apply the spirit and expectations of each MRA more broadly across PVSI. This candidate will be expected to identify areas of improvement by broadly applying feedback, concepts, and criticism to areas not specifically mentioned in a given MRA. In addition, this candidate will ensure that appropriate rigor and urgency is placed on all remediation plans to ensure that efforts taken clearly address the root cause of the deficiency, result in appropriate control(s) being implemented including technology solutions where applicable, and efforts are completed in the most efficient time period possible. The MRA Task Force Leader will manage a matrixed team of risk professionals and work cross functionally with multiple support partners. The MRA Task Force function will coordinate with Regulatory Affairs and the PVSI business units to proactively manage the regulatory interaction once an MRA is issued, throughout the MRA lifecycle till closure. The candidate will work closely with other senior leaders across PVSI and the company in the development and execution of companys strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many business and functional areas and provide insight into the current and emerging regulatory risks within PVSI to ensure that the companys risk management routines are appropriate and proactively getting ahead of potential regulatory criticism. Specific Responsibilities: Apply understanding/expertise of Major Requirement (MRs) to PVSI Business Units Take feedback from external regulators and ensure that those concerns are addressed in all corrective actions owned by PVSI Take regulatory feedback/criticism and identify opportunities to correct similar issues in other areas within PVSI Advise on the implementation of required controls related to regulatory criticism noted in MRAs Influence associated timelines associated with MRA corrective actions. Ensure remediation is occurring in the most effective/efficient manner Identify and design regulatory controls Identify regulatory risk within PVSI processes Manage MRA reporting for all PVSI owned issues and corrective actions Participate in regulatory responses for PVSI related exams/MRA Identify significant regulatory changes and communicate emerging regulatory risks to Business Units Drive PVSI consistency through standards, playbooks, procedures, and templates as needed The Candidate This collaborative leader must be capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast paced environment. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, vision, and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while having the ability to make timely and difficult decisions. Successful candidates will have the ability to distill complex concepts into simplified/targeted solutions, communicate those concepts effectively, and ensure that all deliverables are met. They will use both vision and analysis to identify business problems and build compelling fact-based strategic recommendations. They will also have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including PVSI Control Team Executive, PVSI Risk Operations and Program Management Officer, Regulatory Affairs, PVSI Business Unit (BU)-Aligned Control Teams, PVSI Control Support Teams, PVSI Business Management, and Independent Risk Management. Location: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; Other major Wells Fargo locations will be considered. Required Qualifications 7+ years of management experience 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 12+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 10+ years must include direct experience in risk management Other Desired Qualifications Experience in regulatory relations, regulatory remediation and/or regulatory compliance Experience building effective Risk/Control programs BA/BS and/or Advanced Degree (MBA, JD, etc.) Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and regulatory environment Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to process multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Proven leadership ability to drive successful execution of business initiatives Ability to plan, prioritize, and set goals Proven ability to build dynamic and high performing teams Ability to influence and consult strategically across a large organization and with various levels of leadership/stakeholders Working knowledge of PVSI relationships and transaction processes Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure appropriate and effective risk mitigation controls are in place Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Risk Certification Programs, a plus Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 20% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
