**POSITION SUMMARY**
The Bilingual Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy Clinician provides model adherent intensive in home clinical treatment to adolescents with substance abuse and delinquent behaviors and their families. This position completes model certification within the designated time frame. He/She maintains a positive and optimistic attitude; and works collaboratively with internal and external providers to maintain effective and well coordinated care. The MDFT Clinician also completes documentation in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner consistent with regulatory guidelines to contribute to the financial viability of the program.
This position is eligible for a $4,160 bilingual stipend for Spanish/English speaking candidates, in addition to a competitive base pay.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling (accredited by CACREP) or Social Work is required. If a Master's of Social Work, a LMSW or LCSW is also required.
Program requires candidate to speak fluently both in English and Spanish.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Conducts program specific screening and evaluation, and formulates diagnosis in accordance with the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM). Develops and documents, clear clinical formulations and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, developed in collaboration with the client/family and others as relevant.
Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology and other behavioral health concerns and primary modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention. Triages clinical emergencies and implements program specific safety and consultation protocols. Utilizes best practices and evidenced based practice models where appropriate and adheres to model and program expectations.
Demonstrates knowledge of internal and external levels of care, referral processes and resources. Makes clinically appropriate referrals for indentified service needs in a timely manner.
Communicates in a positive, effective manner with client, family, and all internal and external providers. Attends any required meetings.
Meets direct service productivity goals as defined by program. Demonstrates knowledge of program/department/agency goals and target outcomes, and adheres to practice standards and to data collection and reporting protocols.
Documents all client related information in compliance with agency policy.
Attends and is prepared for scheduled supervision. Seeks additional supervision or consultation as needed and follows through with supervisory directives.
Provides service in the office and/or community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, other community locations) as defined by the program. May transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
