Ensures clinical sites are maintained in orderly manner with logs, medication and supplies at appropriate per levels and not expired.Works with Senior Director of Quality and Infection Control to perform hand hygiene observations at each location as directed and to be a resource for real time questions related to patient isolation and response.Serves as clinical coverage support for staff absences as needed during planned and unplanned gaps for clinical nursing staff.Maintains clinical nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times during open clinic hours.Manages time and attendance, initial and annual performance evaluations in conjunction with Vice President of Health Center Operations.Receives and responds to patient complaints, complements and concerns, documenting in patient record as appropriate and completing accident and incident reports when indicated.Ensures clinical nursing staff maintain patient confidentiality, and follows National Patient Safety Goals, including methodology of patient identification, specimen collection and labeling and medication administration practices.Conducts peer review for all clinical nursing staff quarterly as outlined in the Peer Review Policy. Performs chart review and analysis, reviewes findings with the clinical nursing staff and submits to the Vice President of Health Center Operations for final review. A summary of the findings quarterly will also be submitted.Demonstrates strong clinical nursing skill and knowledge with experience in full life span clients suffering from a variety of major and minor chronic illnesses and behavioral health disorders.Must be able to pass a respirator fit test at time of hire and on an annual basis.Participates in and occasionally leads regular staff meetings and/or clinical nursing leadership meetings for the FHWC.Performs job responsibilities consistent with standards for best practice nursing, including excellent communication with all providers to ensure the delivery of high quality care.Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.Demonstrates leadership by reinforcing positive behavior and promoting recognition through the use of effective employee evaluations, employee appreciation, effective hiring practices, and accountability.
