The \"Workplace Technology\" function is responsible for IT \"Service Engineering\" and is aligned to the \"Technology Services\" group within Corporate IT. The team will operate as the primary technical interface and advisors to the \"Real Estate & Workplace Solutions (RE&WS)\" function. With an emphasis on enhancing RE&WS technology service capabilities and the workplace experience, the Workplace Technology team will focus on providing solutions, delivery and on-going support of workplace technology to drive business productivity.
The Workplace Technology Manager will participate as a technical subject matter expert in both IT and RE&WS strategy forums, maintaining an open dialogue between the respective teams and business stakeholders where appropriate. With full awareness of both IT and RE&WS strategies, the Workplace Technology team will deliver the engineering resources required to develop and deliver technology solutions, thereby facilitating business growth and development.
Serve as the primary technical solutions and delivery interface between RE&WS and IT teams while maintaining a focus on technology solutions to enhance both colleague and business productivity.
Support development and delivery of strategies, designs and solutions supporting business requirements.
Ensure solutions meet business requirements and development expectations in alignment with technical, functional, performance, budgetary, security and operational requirements.
Manage ongoing alignment with IT strategy and compliance with technology standards while providing solution architecture expertise.
Document solutions and processes for approval and communication throughout IT and RE&WS teams.
Support RE&WS leaders in building Corporate and Business Stakeholder relationships in support of deployment and maintenance of deployed technology systems.
Engage service providers, develop partnerships, develop SLA's and create pro-active communication channels in support of workplace technology delivery.
Provide design and technical input into delivery of workplace technology solutions in accordance RE&WS programs and projects, LOTR, IT steering, and BAU initiatives.
Assist with Business Continuity planning within RE&WS and workplace technology recovery.
Guide the transition of deployed solutions to operational steady state and support.
Provide workplace technology and solution architecture expertise for critical technology escalations.
Manage the Workplace Technology team resources, enabling both individual and team aspirations.
Apply technology awareness and associated management skills to develop team resources.
Provide education, guidance and mentoring throughout the Workplace Technology team as needed.
Ensure talent, creativity, and opportunities for innovation are recognized and developed appropriately.
Propagate a culture of excellence, openness, communication, and support.
