Why we are recruiting. The Head of People and Culture, USA is a critical role within the Forum. The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing HR in our New York and San Francisco offices, and partnering with our leadership and people to develop high-performing teams, and foster and promote the Forum's core values and behaviours at all levels of the organization.. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR establishing seamless employee services, enhancing employee engagement, creating an environment for unlocking employee potential, productivity and engagement, and connecting strategy with organizational design and culture. An understanding of US employment law and best practices, as well as the talent landscape and general markets in New York and San Francisco is also integral to this role.. Working in close collaboration with leaders across the organization, this executive will be highly influential in driving change, not just within the HR function but across the whole organization.. Reporting Lines & Interactions. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of People & Culture, Member of the Managing Board based in Geneva, and also to the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Board Member in the US. The Head of People & Culture USA serves as strategic partner to Forum LLC and is a part of the NY and CA leadership teams and will lead a team of 6 People and Culture professionals based in NY and SF, with direct responsibility for an experienced People and Culture Partner and Coordinator.. Internally, this person will work with colleagues from all groups, functions and locations while liaising externally with professional services' firms.. Breakdown of main responsibilities. Lead:. * Co-design with headquarter and implement in the U.S. People and Culture Strategy to ensure organizational goals are achieved through robust and effective people plans and practices. * Play an integral role on the global People & Culture senior leadership team. Develop a human resources agenda for Forum LLC that supports and aligns with the organization's objectives and strategies.. * Protect and uphold the mission and values of the organization through our People programs and policies. * Leverage strong working knowledge of US employment laws to proactively to influence global program design and ensure fair and appropriate application of global programs in the US. * Support open, inclusive and positive culture across our US offices through facilitating culture programs and employee communications and dialogue at global and local level. * Coach, consult and influence on all People and Culture issues. * Mediate complex employee relation cases, conduct effective investigations, develop best practices and appropriate solutions as necessary. * Oversee US P&C operations, including manage benefits strategy and overseeing administration of benefits for the US; Participating in 401k Investment Committee ; Ensuring compliance with US regulatory requirements; overseeing the joint P&C and Finance payroll vendor and process; supervising and approving visa process for international new hires and current staff (including application process, tracking renewals, potential green cards and compliance with regulatory agencies)Create ecosystem for right professional support to staff (legal, coaches, employee wellnessetc.). Contribute to:. * Partner in organizational design, workforce planning and role definition across the US, along with global HR Business Partners. * In conjunction with the P&C Partners and Centre of Expertise, lead and support people activities across the Employee Life Cycle e.g. the performance management cycle, salary review process, talent management, succession planning; Lead internal mobility strategy and opportunities. * Guide teams in restructuring and workforce planning, and support the development and implementation of change management initiatives for the US offices. * Work in close collaboration with Head of Global People & Culture Operations to ensure operational support is seamless and efficient Partner with Head of Operations & Reward to drive annual salary review process, and contribute to analysis of internal and external benchmark data for decision-making in US offices. The successful candidate will be assessed on. In this role, the successful candidate will need to develop credibility and relationships quickly at the business leadership level to drive necessary changes for the Forum. The Head of People & Culture USA will be measured by their ability to coach and lead group heads and managers as an experienced expert and on a range of HR topics in order to facilitate strategic management decision-making around all people topics.. Preferred Requirements and Experience. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of personal credibility and the ability to engage and build relationships with the senior People & Culture and Business leadership teams. The ideal person will possess expertise in organizational design and employment law.. The successful candidate will bring excellent communication/presentation skills, strong coaching capabilities, excellent facilitation skills in change management and have experience in complex organizations with comparable scale and international presence.. They will need to demonstrate a high degree of strategic ability, drive, ambition and determination coupled with the ability to think creatively and inspire the necessary level of innovation and impact across the organization.. Bachelor's degree from a leading university, ideally with focus on organizational development, psychology, business or HR required; Master's Degree in organizational development, psychology, business, HR or a related field desired. Minimum of 10 years of experience in an HR generalist/management role, preferably in a major global company or complex matrix organization. Significant experience in the US.
