Zerto is the leader in IT resilience, disrupting the data protection, disaster recovery and cloud market with a single, easy-to-use platform. We are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to identify competitive trends, provide early warnings on threats and opportunities in the evolving competitive landscape, and evaluating their impact on Zerto. You will help decision makers understand the competitive implications of current and potential decisions and drive action across the company through timely, impactful deliverables.

As an integral part of the Zerto Product Marketing team, the Competitive Intelligence Analyst develops and enables the Sales teams and Business Partners with winning competitive strategies. The candidate must be a self-starter and passionate about competitive research to uncover competitive advantage, have deep insights into real world customer issues and buyers needs around backup, disaster recovery and cloud mobility solutions and develop competitive collateral such as battlecards, presentations, sales training materials and marketing materials. The candidate chosen will support global marketing initiatives and programs and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities

* Own and drive competitive strategy and analysis for Zerto
* Identify and monitor sources of information on competitors websites on products, pricing and company capability
* Subscribe to independent industry research or reviewing published research reports, analysts can obtain information on competitors' market share, sales and strategies
* Monitor social networks and product review sites provides information on customers' attitudes towards competitors and their products
* Track advertising or news of product launches in industry publications provides analysts with information on competitors' marketing activities
* Track competitive wins and losses
* Develop competitive battlecards, presentations and other assets
* Assist sales with actionable competitive intelligence and strategy to win deals
* Train sales team and partners on competitive differentiation on an ongoing basis
* Evangelize Zertos competitive differentiation through internal channels
* Interface regularly with Zertos sales, Technical field teams and Business Partners
* Support a global, rapidly expanding, marketing and sales organization to build of compelling competitive content
* Collaborate with the broader Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Development/ Product teams to translate competitive insights into concrete business recommendations

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in the virtualization industry
* Demonstrated experience in developing key competitive messages and articulating competitive strategy
* Published whitepapers, best practices, blog posts, competitive comparisons and product datasheets
* Thorough understanding of VMware virtualization platform and solutions
* Understanding and Experience with Backup, Disaster Recovery and Cloud(AWS and Azure) solutions
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Good working knowledge of storage technologies, TCP/IP, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Oracle, SharePoint
* Ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling creative concepts, create high impact written competitive content which conveys complex subject matter clearly and accurately
* Managed complex projects, and prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
* Performed competitive research and develop solid conclusions and sound recommendations
* Passion for excellence and attention to detail, determination to continuously improve results and contribution, strong desire to win on behalf of the team
* Collaborative with a can do attitude
